E-services across the municipalities of the Republic of Lithuania
With support from the Structural Funds of the European Union, a technological solution for the provision of e-services across the municipalities of the Republic of Lithuania was implemented back in 2014. The development of the system was initiated and implemented by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, as part of a project called “Centralised transfer of municipal services into the electronic space” that was funded by the European Union.
Outcome of the e-services implemented across the municipalities of the Republic of Lithuania:
- All residents of the Republic of Lithuania (regardless of their place of residence) are allowed to submit electronic applications to the municipality via the National E-Services Portal at https://www.epaslaugos.lt/portal/en
- Monitoring of the e-services is undertaken on the E-Government Gateway at https://www.epaslaugos.lt/portal/en.
- The e-services are executed on a document management system operated by the municipality.
At present, 50 percent of the municipalities across the Republic of Lithuania use Deka Office, the Content and Document Management System created by NEVDA, which is integrated with the National E-Services Portal www.epaslaugos.lt. NEVDA’s Content and Document Management System, DEKA Office, processes 50 per cent of the e-services provided on a municipal level in Lithuania.
